13th December 2018 : University of Lisbon, Research Contract (Computational Biophysics)

A research contract will be available from February 1 2019 for a period
of 30 months to work in computational biophysics (simulations of protein
folding and aggregation) at the Faculty of
Sciences, University of Lisbon in the scope of the project Project
PhysBD: The Physical Basis of Disease: The case of Dialysis Related
Amyloidosis (ref . PTDC/FIS-OUT/28210/2017). This project is part of a
long-term collaboration between the group of Patrícia Faísca (Department
of Physics and BioISI Institute, University of Lisbon, PORTUGAL) and the
group of Eugene Shakhnovich (Department of Chemistry and Chemical
Biology, Harvard University).

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Physics, Chemistry or
related areas, and expertise in computational biophysics/computational
physics/statistical physics/ theoretical chemistry (or related fields).
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Molecular
Dynamics and Monte Carlo methods. Please note that the PhD must have
been granted at least 3 years ago. More details on the work plan, as
