24th November 2020 : Postdoc positions in theoretical biophysics in Dresden

PhD and / or Postdoc positions in theoretical biophysics will be
available in my group « Self-Organization of Multicellular Systems »
(https://www.mpi-cbg.de/research-groups/current-groups/pierre-haas/research-focus/)
at the Center for Systems Biology Dresden (CSBD) from January 2021.

CSBD is a joint centre between the Max Planck Institute for the Physics
of Complex Systems (MPI-PKS), and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular
Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), built on close collaboration
between experimentalists and theorists.

I am looking in particular for a PhD student for a collaboration
« Mechanics of Cell Intercalation » with Pavel Tomancak’s group at MPI-CBG
(see attached project description).

Please feel free to contact me at « haas at maths.ox.ac.uk » about other
project openings and / or the practicalities of applying for these
positions.

PhD applications are via the International Max Planck Research School
for Cell, Developmental, and Systems Biology
(https://www.imprs-celldevosys.de/) and are assessed continuously.

Postdoc applications can for example be via the ELBE program
(http://www.csbdresden.de/join-us/as-a-postdoc/). There are two
application rounds each year, and the next application deadline is the
20th of February 2021.

Please pass this message on to suitable candidates.

With best wishes,

Pierre Haas
