I am searching for a candidate for a 2-year postdoc position in my group
at Lund University, Sweden, concerning hydrodynamic modelling of active
matter.
The research project concerns collective phenomena in suspensions of
swimming microorganisms, such as bacteria and algae, explored using
lattice Boltzmann simulations and analytical theory. In particular, the
project concerns the interplay between fluid-mediated hydrodynamic
interactions and the coupling with external or internal chemical
gradients, and their impact on collective behaviour.
