31st January 2020 : Postdoc – Soft Condensed Matter Theory – Institut Laue Langevin (Grenoble)

*Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Soft Condensed Matter Theory at Institut
Laue Langevin (Grenoble)*
Working within the theory group of ILL, the postdoctoral researcher will
carry out a research program focused on soft condensed matter theory and
modeling (including applications to soft materials and biophysics). Of
particular interest are projects in the field of polymer, biopolymers or
protein modeling, but proposals in all fields of soft matter will be
considered.
The successful candidate is expected to propose a research in broad
relation to the experimental activities at the institute.

*Qualifications and experience:*

* PhD in  physics, biophysics or physical chemistry with a focus on
theory and modeling.
* Strong background in theoretical soft matter and associated
simulation methods.
* Knowledge of standard calculation methods (molecular dynamics and
Monte Carlo).
* Knowledge appreciated in some of the following fields = modern
parallelisation and programming methods (open MP, MPI…).

*Notes*
*Post-Doctoral contract of 18 months, renewable for a further 18-month
period. Only candidates holding a PhD obtained less than 2 years before
the starting dateof the contract are eligible for post-doctoral positions.*
Starting date is flexible (ideally between May 2020 and September 2020).
