The UC Berkeley Physics Department is conducting a search to fill a
tenure-track faculty position for an Assistant Professor in Soft
Condensed Matter with an expected start date of July 1, 2021. This
position is open to all sub-fields of soft condensed matter, broadly
defined, including but not limited to biological soft condensed matter
physics, nonbiological soft condensed matter physics, and related areas
of nonlinear physics. We are especially interested in candidates who
have demonstrated originality and productivity in research, promise in
teaching, and the potential to advance the physics department’s goal of
a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive scholarly environment.
