8th January 2019 : Postdoc – Tel-Aviv University, Israel

Dear Colleagues,

Please distribute the following announcement to potentially interested
candidates:

We are now receiving applications for postdoctoral positions on various
fields including soft-mater physics, biophysics, and statistical-mechanics.

Postdoctoral fellows are expected to perform leading-edge experimental
and/or computational research focusing on the physics of complex and
soft systems and to interact with at least one, but preferably more of
the following research groups:

Roy Beck – roy@tauex.tau.ac.il | http://www3.tau.ac.il/beck/

– Measuring the interactions between intrinsically disordered
proteins

– Using information-based methods to quantify entropy from
simulations and experiments

Yael Roichman – roichman@tauex.tau.ac.il | https://m.tau.ac.il/~roichman/

– Experimental and theoretical study of the non-equilibrium
statistical mechanics of optically driven dense colloidal suspension.

Yoav Lahini – lahini@tauex.tau.ac.il |
https://en-exact-sciences.tau.ac.il/profile/lahini

– Experimentally studying far-from-equilibrium dynamics of
nonlinear mechanical systems and meta-materials

– Developing a fiber-based label-free optical nano-scope

Applicants should have recently completed their PhD thesis in a
relevant field, in an academic institute, or expect to complete it by
March 2020.

Postdoctoral fellows joining expected to start anytime between
October 2019 and October 2020.

Applications should be submitted via email to the relevant PI and
include a single PDF containing:

– A cover letter.

– Curriculum vitae including a list of publications.

– A short research statement (<1 page) describing how the candidate’s
current achievements is correlated to the research he/she is applying for.

In addition, three recommendation letters should be sent directly
from the recommender to the relevant PIs.

Review of applications will continue until the positions are filled.
