5th February 2021 : Lectureship in Disordered Systems in the Department of Mathematics at Kings’s College London, UK

Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Disordered Systems in the
Department of Mathematics at King’s College London.  Candidates
are expected to have a PhD in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics or
related areas, and research expertise in some area of Complex and
Disordered Systems (understood in a broad sense). For example, but
not exclusively, in statistical and quantum mechanics of systems with
disorder, nonequilibrium dynamics, soft matter and glassy materials,
econophysics, statistical inference and machine learning. Within the
Department the Disordered Systems group is responsible for an
interdisciplinary MSc programme in Complex Systems Modelling.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the research
activity of the Department, take part in teaching and examining for the
Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes,
make a contribution to the academic organisation of the Department,
and have demonstrable ability to attract research funding.
