10th April 2017 : Post-doc position in soft/active/biological matter – Kyoto

Dear colleague,

One post-doc position is available in computational science of
soft/active/biological matter at Kyoto University in my group, with
appointments until March 31, 2020. Please be aware that the deadline for
the application is April 30, 2017.

Research areas include:
- Development and application of hydrodynamic coupling methods for
colloidal systems (both from purely scientific (ex. multi-phase/physics
modeling, active systems, ...) and practical (ex. large scale
simulations using HPC, commercialization, ...) aspects)
- Multi-scale/meso-scale modeling for active systems such as swimming
- Theoretical/Numerical modeling for cellular systems such as soft
biological tissues
Our previous activities can be seen at

Applicants should have a PhD in physics, mathematics, physical
chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience in the field of theory or simulations of
soft/active/biological matter will be an advantage. Applications must
include the following documents.
- CV
- List of publications
- Reprints of representative papers (up to 3)
- Summary of past research
- Statement of research interests
- Contact details of at least 2 scientific referees
