The workshop is now over – thank you to all participants and speakers for making it a success!
For more biomechanics, join us at our two seminar series (identical time slots, on alternating weeks):
Physics-Biology interface seminar – in Orsay
Mechanics and living systems – at École Polytechnique

With the advent of ever more sensitive probes to study living systems, the quantitative study of forces, flows and deformations has become a major tool in characterizing biological processes. This workshop, to be held on February 2 2015 at École polytechnique, aims to bring together engineers, physicists and life scientists working at the interface between mechanics and biology to exchange recent results and stimulate further interactions within the Paris-Saclay and broader Paris area. We look forward to welcoming you at École polytechnique!

Plenary speakers

Frédéric Pincet (École normale supérieure de Paris, France)
Karsten Kruse (Universität des Saarlandes, Germany)
Michel Milinkovitch (Université de Genève, Switzerland)
Fritz-Olaf Lehmann (Universität Rostock, Germany)
